Ingredients:
1 banana
1 cup low-fat strawberry yogurt
6 fresh strawberries, topped and washed
1 cup chopped watermelon
2 cups skim or 1% milk
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a blender, cover and puree until smooth.
Drink up and enjoy!
Variations:
For a frozen fruit smoothie, add ice. Cool!
Try different fruits like blueberries or mango to make your smoothie
colorful and tasty!


Ingredients:
Fresh berries, grapes, cut-up melon, and canned pineapple
Bite size chunks of low-fat mozzarella or cheddar cheese
Directions:
Using toothpicks or wooden skewers, thread on bite-size chunks of
fruit and cheese. Keep cut-up fruit and cheese in a Tupperware in
the fridge, lowdown where kids can reach. If they’re very young,
watch the toothpicks!
Variations:
For a tropical treat try just fruit rolled in shredded coconut!

Good Old fashioned Raisins and Peanuts, but you can really use almost
anything! The Actioneers love Granola, Oats, Rice Cakes, and Pretzels.
Now you make your own GORP with these yummy ingredients!
Dried Fruits
Raisins, apricots, date nuggets, banana chips, apple chips, cranberries
or pineapple.
Nuts and Seeds
Almonds, peanuts, cashews, soy nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds,
or walnuts.
Sweet Stuff
Carob chips, dried coconut, granola, yogurt covered raisins and
peanuts.
Salty Stuff
Pretzels, rice cakes, oriental rice cracker mix, sesame sticks,
or any breakfast cereal.
Everyone knows that GORP tastes best on the trail.
